Minutes September 9, 2015
The meeting was opened at 10:04 am. R. Champigny, L. Hebert, K.Purcell and J. Rodriguez were present. Minutes were accepted as corrected.
Health Fair --- J. Rodriguez reported . CHP is on board, bringing their bus and maybe the eye doctor. Hearing tests, chair massage to be offered. Fire and police will address safety issues. Banners and signs are ready today. 250 File of Life magnets have been ordered. Veteran Affairs Office is to be contacted. Big Y to be called for a donation; samples of fruits, vegetables and cheese are preferred over cookies. Bottles of water are on hand.
Follow-up about elderly who live alone continues. There has been discussion with the MA Office of Elder Affairs.
Erie Canal trip is full and all is set. Bills for the bus and the canal cruise have been paid and acknowledged.
Next -- revisit the idea of a luncheon at the General Store.
Council’s next meeting is September 23rd. The meeting adjourned at 11:15 am.
